This contract was awarded to IEW Construction Group, Inc., on January 26, 2010. The notice to proceed was issued February 17, 2010 and the preconstruction meeting was held February 19, 2010.
The contractor is finishing work on this contract. In March, he worked on ground mounted sign by excavating and pouring cement for the sign structure foundations and installed ground mounted signs on the north and south bound inner and outer roadways. The contractor also installed soil stabilization and seeding at basins and slopes and checked highway lighting. In the coming time period, the contractor will continue with slope top soil stabilization within his project area.
February 2012
This contract is nearly complete. The contractor worked on removing silt fence and grading topsoil and placing permanent seeding within his contract limits. During March, the contractor will continue with slope top soil stabilization and will work on median and ground mount sign installation.
January 2012
This contract is close to completion. In January, the contractor installed delineators, mile post markers and the posts for signs on the median barriers. In the next month, the contractor will work on silt fence removal and will finish grade topsoil and permanent seeding.

The Laurel Run Reforestation contract was awarded February 17, 2010 to Central Jersey Landscaping, Inc. This contract reforested 15.8 acres in the Township of Bordentown, Burlington County, at NJ Turnpike Milepost 54.2 with 5,770 trees and shrubs. Notice to proceed by issued by the NJ Turnpike Authority on March 5, 2010.
The contractor planted a variety of trees including Pine, Douglas Fir, Spruce, Cedar, Poplar, Holly, and Sweetgum, and the caliper of these tree ranged from 2 to 2 ½ inches and 12 to 14 feet in height.
This project is complete and the final inspection was conducted on July 7, 2010.

This contract was awarded to A. Servidone, Inc. / B. Anthony Construction Corp., A Joint Venture on May 20, 2010. The notice to proceed was issued on May 27, 2010. This contract will construct four freshwater wetland mitigation sites for Devils Brook (NJT Milepost 74.1, South Brunswick), Upper Crafts Creek (NJT Milepost 51.2, Mansfield), Lower Crafts Creek (NJT Milepost 50.7, Mansfield), and Back Creek (NJT Milepost 60.0, Robbinsville).
Final inspection for this contract was held on July 19, 2011, and the Burlington, Freehold and Mercer County Soil Conservation Services were notified of completion. Post construction inspection is scheduled with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection for the end of August 2011.

This contract was awarded to IEW Construction Group, Inc., on August 16, 2010. The notice to proceed was issued September 1, 2010.
The contractor worked on the Crafts Creek culvert extension by placing rebar and concrete for the structure’s deck slab during March. Also in this month, the contractor removed guide rail and placed embankment material and aggregate base course at the Columbus-Florence Road bridge approach roadway. He also completed rebar and concrete for the parapet on the Jacksonville-Hedding Road bridge structure and installed bridge fencing. The contractor erected precast concrete I-beams, formed abutment backwall and placed rebar and concrete on the pylon wall at the NJ Turnpike over Mill Lane structure. In addition, the contractor worked on retention walls, sign structures, and mainline lighting, roadway drainage, excavation and embankment work.
During the coming month, the contractor anticipates continuing with his construction activities including placement of rebar and concrete at the Mill Lane structure.

During February, the contractor worked on the Crafts Creek structure and removed the temporary sheeting at the cofferdam. Also this month, the contractor worked on the Jacksonville-Hedding Road bridge by placing rebar and concrete for the parapet along the bridge deck. At the Mill Lane structure, the contractor worked on the abutments for the bridge structure. On the mainline, the contractor worked on retention walls, sign structure foundations, roadway excavation, placement and grading of embankment, drainage installation, lighting and ITS installation, and ROW fence installation.
Next month, the contractor plans on continuing his work on the bridge structures within his contract including the erection of precast I-beams at Mill Lane.
January 2012
In January, work continued at the structures within the 102 contract. At Columbus-Florence Road, the contractor completed installation of utility installation underground and overhead for cable, telephone and PSE&G. The contractor performed clean up work at the Jacksonville-Hedding Road bridge structure. At Crafts Creek, the contractor worked on the culvert’s wingwalls, while at Mill Lane, the contractor worked on the south abutment cap. On the mainline, the contractor worked on retention walls, sign structure installation, drainage, roadway lighting, roadway excavation and embankments. During the month of February, the contractor will continue work on his culvert and bridge structures.

This contract was awarded to George Harms Construction Company, Inc., on March 30, 2010. The Preconstruction Meeting was held on April 23, 2010 and Notice to Proceed was issued on May 3, 2010.
The contractor poured concrete for the first part of the SIT Ramp. He also installed overhang brackets, deck pans, form work and placed reinforcement steel for the SIT spans. For the north to toll (NT) ramp, the contractor installed shielding and began demolishing the existing TN ramp bridge. At the south to toll (ST) ramp, the contractor removed the guide rail. On the northbound mainline, the contractor restriped (painted lines) the roadway, and he also touched up the paint on Mansfield Road bridge, NT ramp and toll north to inner (TNI) ramp.
In April, the contractor plans on installing shielding on the TN ramp over the NJ Turnpike and demolishing the existing TN ramp span 4 deck slab.
February 2012
This month, the contractor worked on the roadway power, ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) and lighting within his contract. The contractor also worked on preparing the abutments, lighting, ITS, drainage, steel erection, deck pans and form work for the spans for the Int. 6 south inner to toll (SIT) ramp. The contractor also worked on the ITS and lighting for the south to toll (ST) ramp. During the month of March, the contractor is scheduled to continue his construction activities working on the SIT.
January 2012
The contractor continued his work on the South Inner to Toll (SIT) and Toll to North Inner (TNI) ramps for Interchange 6. This month, the contractor installed bearings, performed prep work for the overhang brackets and erected steel on the SIT ramp; the contractor also placed concrete for the TNI ramp median barrier and removed the temporary supports at the TNI ramp under the box beams.
In the next month, the contractor plans on installing the temporary shielding for the SIT span 4 and will conduct steel erection diaphragms between the girders on this ramp span.

This contract was awarded to South State Inc. on July 15, 2009. The preconstruction meeting was held on August 3, 2009, and notice to proceed was issued August 21, 2009.
The contractor worked on the NJT/Rt. 206 bridge structure by installing deck rebar on the west edge of the structure. The contractor also worked on tunnel lighting on the bridge structure by installing conduits. The contractor completed paving base and intermediate courses in the northern east and west quadrants, and he also placed top course in various areas within his contract area. Next month, the contractor is scheduled to place concrete on the NJT/Rt. 206 bridge structure and continue the installation of lighting.
February 2012
During February, the contractor worked on the NJ Turnpike bridge over Rt. 206 by installing deck pans and constructing edge deck forms. The contractor also removed construction barrier from the southbound right shoulder and installed barrier on the northbound left shoulder in preparation for sign structure work. In the next time period, the contractor anticipates installing deck rebar in the NJT/Rt. 206 bridge structure.

This contract is nearing completion. In January, the contractor worked on the abutments for the NJ Turnpike over Rt. 206 bridge structure, and installed conduits and luminaries for the under deck lighting. On the mainline NJT, the contractor installed the stone berm surfacing and guiderail. In February, the contractor is planning to work on the NJT/Rt. 206 bridge structure; he will also work on sign structures and perform fine grading in preparation for paving.

South State, Inc. was awarded this contract on December 18, 2009; the Notice to Proceed was issued on January 20, 2010.
The contractor completed the parapet construction at Bordentown-Chesterfield Road during the month of March. Also this month, the contractor commenced paving on the southbound outer roadway. On the northbound outer roadway the contractor installed soil stabilization (seeding, fertilization, matting) and completed DGA grading and topsoil placement. The contractor also placed subbase and DGA stone along Ward Avenue, east of the NJT. Next month, the contractor anticipates grading, installing topsoil and soil stabilization on the drainage swales on the north and south bound outer roadway, and he will complete the fine grading of DGA stone along the northbound outer roadway in preparation for paving.

During February, the contractor continued roadway excavation and placement of embankment along the north and south bound outer roadways, and the contractor commenced the placement of finely graded stone (DGA) placement along the north and south bound outer roadway. Comcast Cable completed underground utility work at Bordentown-Chesterfield Road and Bordentown-Crosswicks Road. At Ward Avenue, the contractor completed drainage east of the NJ Turnpike. During February, the contractor is scheduled to fine grade the DGA stone in preparation for paving the southbound outer roadway.
January 2012
The contractor completed the shoulder restoration along the southbound NJ Turnpike mainline in the emergency pull-off locations during the month of January. Also this month the contractor repaired pavement on Daniel Avenue and began cable utility underground installation work on Bordentown-Chesterfield Road. In February, the contractor plans on continuing the utility underground work and will grade and install topsoil and stabilize the drainage swales installed along the future southbound outer roadway.

Union Paving & Construction Company, Inc. was awarded this contract on July 27, 2010; the Notice to Proceed was issued on August 27, 2010. The contractor will be working on widening the NJ Turnpike as well as on the Interchange 7 ramps and Blacks Creek culvert extension.
During March, the contractor worked on retention walls, the U-Turn bridge structure and Blacks Creek culvert extension. The contractor also worked on the abutment for the Int. 7 northbound viaduct ramp placing structural steel, and at the southbound outer to roll ramp, the contractor placed grade A fill and DGA stone for the roadway. The contractor also began work on retention walls at the toll to north outer roadway ramp and the southbound outer roadway south of Int. 7, and he also began abutment construction at the northbound viaduct Int. 7 ramp.
In the next month, the contractor will continue his construction activities and will begin to pave on the south outer to toll ramp.
February 2012
The contractor continued his erection of structural steel at the northbound Interchange 7 viaduct ramp and began pile installation for the structure’s north abutment during February. At the U-Turn bridge structure, the contractor continued working on the deck reinforcement installation. The contractor also continued installing drainage throughout his contract area and began to construct drainage swales and ditches along the south outer to toll ramp. In March, the contractor plans on continuing his construction activities including steel erection on the viaduct ramp.

In January, the contractor worked on retention walls and the piers for the various structures within his contract area. He also continued work on installation of a noise wall, and placed fill and performed paving at various locations. In the coming month, the contractor will continue with his installation of retention and noise walls, and will also continue his work building structures, roadway and ramps.

This contract was awarded to South State, Inc. on November 18, 2010. Construction is expected to begin in early 2011 and be completed in 2014. This contract will add new lanes for north and south bound outer roadway and also includes reconstruction of local road bridges at Merrick Road (MRd), Yardville-Allentown Road (Y-ARd), and South Broad Street (SBSt), four new service area flyover ramps, several other bridges along the Turnpike roadway, 17 new sign structures, and improvements to drainage, lighting and utilities.
In March, the contractor installed the South Broad Street detour and began to demolish the existing bridge structure that spans over the NJ Turnpike. A new bridge to accommodate the new NJ Turnpike lanes will be constructed. Also this month, the contractor worked on drainage, retention walls, topsoil stripping and roadway excavation. He also is working on demolition on the flyover ramp at milepost 57.55. At Doctor’s Creek, the contractor began construction on the footing for an arch culvert, and work on the Yardville-Allentown Road bridge piers and Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road bridge’s abutments was done.
The contractor will continue construction activities during April, and he anticipates finishing the demolition work on the South Broad Street bridge structure.
February 2012
The contractor continued his construction activities during the month of February by performing roadway excavation, topsoil stripping and embankment installation throughout his project limits. He also worked on the Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road and Yardville-Allentown Road bridges by installing production piles for the new bridge structures, and he also began installing formwork for the pier cap beams at Yardville-Allentown Road bridge piers. The contractor also worked on retention walls, and continued demolition at Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road.
In March, the contractor plans on continuing his demolition work at the Merrick Road bridge and Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road, and will continue his construction activities on the other structures within his contract.

During January, the contractor placed concrete for the pier columns and completed East abutment production piles at the Yardville-Allentown Road bridge. The contractor also stripped topsoil and performed roadway excavation, and placed embankment at various locations within the contract area. Test piles were also installed at the Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road bridge abutments. At Doctor’s Creek, the contractor worked on installation of footings and precast structures for the culvert extension.
The contractor anticipates completing demolition of the Merrick Road bridge in February, and plans on continuing his demolition work on the old structures at Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road at the north and south inner roadway areas.

This contract was awarded to IEW Construction Services Group, Inc., on August 13, 2009 to reconstruct the Edgebrook Road (ER) and Robbinsville-Allentown Road (R-AR) bridges over the NJ Turnpike mainline, as well as the future ramps and construction of a portion of the Toll North Ramp (TNR), including a bridge, from Robbinsville-Allentown Road to over Route I-195.
During March, the contractor worked on the Robbinsville-Allentown Road bridge over the TN Ramp placing the head wall and wing wall concrete, sidewalk concrete, and parapets on the bridge structure. The contractor plans on continuing his work on the Robbinsville-Allentown Road bridges over the NJT and TN Ramp in the coming month.

The contractor completed installing the forming deck edge forms on the Robbinsville-Allentown Road over the Toll North Ramp (TNR) in February. Also this month, the contractor completed reinforcement steel installation on the same section of bridge. In the coming month, the contractor anticipates continuing construction of R-AR TNR by placing concrete on the bridge structure.

During January, the contractor continued work on the Robbinsville-Allentown Road bridge and installed shielding and overhang brackets on the bridge structure. The contractor also began to form the deck and poured the deck of the Robbinsville-Allentown Road bridge over the toll to north (TN) ramp. In the next month, the contractor plans on installing the stay-in-place (SIP) forms on the R-AR bridge deck and install the shear studs on the R-AR bridge over the TN ramp.

Township of Robbinsville, Mercer County
This contract was awarded to PKF-Mark III, Inc., on September 27, 2010, and Notice to Proceed was issued on October 25, 2010. This contract will construct the new northbound and southbound outer roadways between NJT Mileposts 59.7 to 62.0 as well as the construction of four new bridge structures and reconstruction of five existing bridges. The contractor will also build an extension of the Interchange 7A toll plaza, eight new ramps, five retaining walls, two noise barriers and 17 sign structures.
During March, the contractor installed the detour for West Manor Way and closed the West Manor Way bridge on March 16; he then began and completed demolition of the bridge decking. In other areas of his contract, the contractor worked on drainage and retention walls, and placed fill on the new southbound outer roadway. The contractor completed the foundation of the east pier for the I-195 bridge westbound over the NJ Turnpike and he continued work on the west abutment for the same bridge.
In April, the contractor anticipates working on the deck or the south inner to toll (SIT) flyover ramp, erecting steel on the north inner to toll (NIT) flyover ramp, and he will begin to dig for the foundations of the new West Manor Way bridge.
February 2012
The contractor continued his construction activities during February by working on drainage, retention walls, bridges, placing Grade A material along the southbound outer roadway, utilities relocation and shoulder reconstruction. Also this month, the contractor completed the deck reinforcement bar installation at the toll to north inner ramp. In the coming time period, the contractor is scheduled to close West Manor Way at the bridge over the NJ Turnpike and he will begin to demolish this bridge.

The contractor continued drainage pipe installation along the new outer roadway north and south during the month of January. Bridge, ramp and retention wall construction on the various structures also continued this month. The contractor completed driving sheeting along the pier # 1 footing for Robbinsville-Allentown Road and began relocation of Verizon’s cables along the West Manor Way bridge.
In February, the contractor is to begin to detour traffic at the West Manor Way bridge in preparation for the existing bridge demolition. This bridge will be replaced with a new structure.

This contract was awarded April 23, 2010 to Rencor, Inc. Notice to proceed was given to the contractor on May 10, 2010. The contractor will be constructing the new outer roadway north and south from mileposts 60.0 to 63.4 and will be reconstructing or replacing the culvert and bridge structures that cross the NJ Turnpike.
The contractor demolished the Sharon Road bridge abutments and outer piers during the month of March. Also this month, the contractor placed HPC deck at the U-Turn bridge structure and finalized the rebar installation at the Gordon road bridge deck in preparation for HPC deck placement. Retention wall construction continued at Sharon Road and the contractor worked on sign foundations along the north and south bound outer roadways. Other work that was done included drainage system installations, main line road grading along the north and south bound outer roadways and installation of ROW fencing.
In the coming month, the contractor plans on the completion of the deck cure on the U-Turn bridge structure, and he will begin parapet construction and install approach slabs on the U-Turn and Gordon Road bridges.
February 2012
During February, the contractor began the demolition of the Sharon Road bridge after closing the bridge and installing the traffic detour. The contractor also began to install rebar at the Gordon Road bridge and continued his work on the embankment placement at the Gordon Road approaches. The contractor began construction of a retention wall at Sharon Road and he also continued work on installing Right-of-Way fence throughout his work area.
In March, the contractor anticipates completing the Sharon Road bridge demolition, with the exception of the center pier, and he will finish rebar installation on the Gordon Road bridge structure.

The contractor began installation of conduits for the relocated utilities on Gordon Road bridge and commenced construction of roadway barrier and protection adjacent to the noise barrier along the southbound outer roadway during the month of January. Also this month, the contractor began to drill shafts for the new Variable Message Signs structures and drainage systems are being installed, all at various locations within his contract area.
The contractor plans on installing the detour for and closing the Sharon Road bridge in the coming month. This bridge will be demolished and replaced with a new structure.

This contract was awarded July 28, 2010 to Ferreira Construction Co., Inc. & Crisdel Group, Inc., A Joint Venture, and Notice to Proceed was issued on August 28, 2010. This contract will construct the new outer roadway north and south bound between mileposts 63.4 to 65.6 and will replace or rebuild bridges, culverts or other structures crossing the NJ Turnpike.
During March, the contractor removed signs from the Perrineville Road bridge, and at Old York Road, completed the first stage of bridge deck removal. The contractor also worked on drainage, swales, and water basins within his contract limits this month. In April, the contractor plans on installing a detour and closing the Perrineville Road bridge and will begin to demolish the bridge deck. This bridge is to be replaced with a new bridge structure.
February 2012
Windsor Road bridge was reopened to traffic on February 2, 2012. Also this month, the contractor began reconstruction work on Old York Road where it crosses over the NJ Turnpike. He stripped topsoil and started to place embankment. This bridge will remain open during reconstruction to two-way traffic. On the northbound NJT, the contractor continued his retention wall construction and excavation work on the water basins and swales between Windsor and Perrineville Roads.
In the next month, the contractor will be working on storm sewer work at Old York Road and will continue work on the water basins and swales within his contract limits.
January 2012
During January, at the Windsor Road bridge the contractor completed the installation of guide rail, profiled and grooved the bridge deck, installed the bridge fence, and installed pavement markings in anticipation of reopening the road in early February. On the new outer roadway, the contractor continued his work on retention walls and began to install guide rail within his contract limits.
In February, the contractor anticipates working on swale construction in the areas between Windsor and Perrineville Roads.

The bid date for this contract August 03, 2010, and on August 31, 2010, this contract was awarded to Crisdel Group, Inc. & Sordoni Construction Co. (JV), and notice to proceed was issued on October 29, 2010. This contract is nearly complete.
All work at the E. Windsor Dept. of Public Works - Ward Street Facility, Pump Station # 7 – Ward Street, and IBEW Union 827 – Ward Street is now complete, with only punchlist items remaining. At Pump Station #9 – Daniel Street there remains some site work to be done, and this is expected to be completed within the next time period.

Punch list work continues at Pump Station #7, Ward Street, during the month of February. At the EW DPW Ward Street facility site and the IBEW Union building, all work is complete. At Pump Station #9 on Daniel Street, JCP&L has provided the required electrical service, and work at this site is expected to be completed by next month.

The contractor completed all utility work at the E. Windsor Dept. of Public Works building on Ward Street, and the contractor is working on the punchlist for completing this item. At the Pump Station #7 on Ward Street, the pump station has reached substantial completion and has been turned over to the E. Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority with some punchlist items still open. At the Pump Station #9 on Daniel Street, the pump station is essentially complete and is waiting for power from JCP&L.

The bid date for this contract was June 17, 2010. This contract was awarded to Ferreira/Crisdel Joint Venture on July 28, 2010 and Notice to Proceed was issued on August 26, 2010. Construction for this contract commenced on September 20, 2010. This contract will be working constructing a single-point urban interchange (SPUI) ramp and working on the intersection of State Routes 133 & 33 and Milford Road.
In March, Verizon completed live splicing of their cable along Rt. 33 eastbound and began removing the existing cable. The contractor continued his work on highway lighting and ITS work throughout his project area. Work on drainage crossings on Rt. 33 westbound, retention wall and ramp construction continued, and the contractor completed constructing the south abutment wire wall. Next month the contractor is scheduled to continue all his construction activities.
February 2012
Verizon and Comcast worked on their utility cable installations on Route 33 eastbound, and the contractor continued his highway lighting and ITS work throughout the project area during February. Also this month, the contractor worked on constructing the SPUI south abutment wall and also worked on retention walls, and began constructing walls for ramps A and B. The contractor began constructing the ramp WT/TW (west to toll and toll to west) embankment adjacent to the ramps A and B walls. In March, the contractor will continue with his construction work on the ramps, abutments and retention walls within his contract area.
January 2012
In January, the contractor continued embankment placement on the east to toll/west to toll ramps. The contractor also worked on highway lighting, ITS and drainage, and placed temporary pavement on Route 133. A traffic shift was put into place in early January on Route 133, and the contractor opened ramps C and D to traffic. In the coming month, the contractor will continue with his drainage work and will work on the south abutment of the SPUI bridge.

The bid date for this contract was May 25, 2010. This contract will construct the new Interchange 8 Toll Plaza, building, and access tunnel and was awarded to Crisdel Group, Inc., on July 28, 2010. Notice to Proceed was issued on August 26, 2010. This contract will be building the new Interchange 8 Toll Plaza and buildings.
In March, the contractor began to install the windows and doors in the toll plaza building. Work continued in the toll plaza on the electrical work and duct work for the building and tunnel and the plumbing for the building. Next month, the contractor anticipates completing the window and door installation in the building and also completing the plumbing, duct and electrical work.
February 2012
The contractor continued his work on the new Interchange 8 toll plaza. Electric, water, sanitary and gas service has been brought into the toll plaza building this month. The toll booths have been fabricated in anticipation of installing them in the plaza, and the toll canopy structural steel has been erected. During March, the contractor will continue with his construction activities including installing the toll plaza booths onto the island slabs.

During January, the contractor completed the toll plaza building, tunnel, the toll plaza concrete approach roadway slab, concrete roadway slabs and toll booth sub slabs. In process are the toll plaza building’s utilities, tunnel conduit and duct work, tunnel drainage, and site work. The toll plaza’s approach pavement and parking lot pavement base course are complete also. In February, the contractor will continue his construction activities and will install precast toll booth island slabs in the toll plaza.

The bid date for this contract was September 16, 2010. On October 22, 2010 this contract was awarded to PKF-Mark III, Inc. Among the work to be performed in this contact is the construction of new Interchange 8 ramps. A preconstruction meeting was held on November 18, 2010, and notice to proceed on this contract was issued November 15, 2010.
The contractor completed noise barrier #2 during March. Also this month, the contractor continued his construction activities building retention walls, bridge and culvert structures, and he began installing the roadway lighting infrastructure within his contract limits. In the coming month, the contractor will continue his work on noise barrier #1 as well as his other construction activities.
February 2012
In February, the contractor continued placing caissons for noise barrier #2 and he also installed panels into noise barrier #1. He also continued his other construction activities including roadway excavation, retention walls and substructure work at Etra Road, the S-Turn and Rocky Brook. During the next month, drainage work, roadway excavation, embankment work and structure construction will continue.

The contractor continued substructure construction at the Etra Road and Rocky Brook structures during the month of January. The contractor also continued his roadway excavation and embankment activities, drainage construction and retention wall construction. Traffic has also been moved to the south to toll and toll to north temporary ramps. Next month, the contractor will continue with the above construction activities.

This contract was awarded to The Delaney Group, Inc January 7, 2011 and a preconstruction meeting was held on January 26, 2011. Notice to proceed on this contract was issued January 21, 2011. This contract will construct new out and inner roadways on the NJ Turnpike north and southbound from mileposts 69.3 to 70.6, and will extend the NJ Turnpike bridge over Hightstown-Cranbury Station Road (NJT/HCSRd) to accommodate the new lanes and build a new bridge at Cranbury Station Road over the NJ Turnpike.
During the month of March, the contractor continued with his drainage and erosion control installations throughout his contract area. The contractor excavated and on the mainline NJ Turnpike on the future north and south bound outer roadway. Also this month, the contractor poured concrete piers and abutment footers at the NJT/Hightstown-Cranbury Station Road bridge and worked on the retention walls. At Cranbury Station Road, the contractor poured concrete for pier columns and abutment on the east side. During April, the contractor plans on working on the Indian Run Brook culvert extension and completing wingwall installation.

The contractor continued with erosion control and drainage installation throughout his contract area during February. At the NJT/Hightstown-Cranbury Station Road bridge, the contractor poured concrete for the wall columns and center pier and abutment vertical wall. The contractor also poured concrete for the footing and columns for the Cranbury Station Road bridge. In March, the contractor will remove the forms for the piers and columns after the concrete cures at the NJT/HCS Road and CS Road bridges.

In January, the contractor continued the installation of drainage and erosion control within his contract area. At the NJT/Hightstown-Cranbury Station Road bridge, the contractor is widening this bridge structure. He also worked on the abutments and retention walls in this area and demolished existing HCS Road concrete piers and footings. The contractor also repaired pavement at Cranbury Station Road. In the next time period, the contractor anticipates continuing his work on the NJT/HCS Road bridge.

Contract 702 was awarded to Union Paving & Construction Company, and a Notice to Proceed letter was issued August 30, 2011. This contract will construct the outer roadway north and south from mileposts 68.3 to 69.3 including three lanes and shoulders, Wyckoffs Mills Road/NJ Turnpike, Brick Yard Road/NJ Turnpike, NJ Turnpike/Millstone River and U-Turn bridge structures over the mainline Turnpike.
The contractor worked on his bridge structures during March. At Wyckoffs Mill/NJT, the contractor worked on the east approach and west abutment. At the U-Turn bridge, the contractor worked on the piers for the structure. At NJT/Millstone River, the contractor worked on the bridge approaches. At Brick Yard Road/NJT, the contractor worked on the west abutment and the bridge piers. Next month, the contractor anticipates working on the new outer roadway north and south bound placing stone layers and working on installing drainage.

The contractor worked on excavation for three drainage basins within his contract area during the month of February. In addition to the basins, the contractor worked on the outer roadways north and south by placement of fill in the excavated areas. The contractor also worked on the retention walls by driving piles. At Wyckoffs Mill Road/NJT bridge structure, the contractor worked on the east and west abutments and piers. At the U-Turn bridge, the contractor worked on the abutments, while at the NJT/Millstone River bridge, the contractor worked on the north abutment. At Brick Yard Road/NJT the contractor worked on the west abutment and piers for this bridge structure.
Next month, the contractor is planning to continue with the outer roadway excavation north and south on the NJT Mainline and will be placing DGA stone and Grade A course layer.
January 2012
During the month of January, the contractor worked installing drainage and excavation on the new outer roadways north and south on the mainline NJ Turnpike. At the Wyckoffs Mill Road/NJT bridge, the contractor worked on the new bridge abutments and installed sheeting for the piers. Concrete was poured for footings for pier #1. At the U-Turn at milepost 68.64, the contractor worked on the abutments for the bridge. The contractor also worked on the abutments for the bridge structure at Brick Yard Road/NJT by forming the concrete footings. Temporary sheeting for the bridge piers was also installed and the contractor started to excavate for the pier foundations.
During February, the contractor plans on driving piles for retention walls and the NJT bridge over the Millstone River.

This contract is essentially complete. During this time period, the contactor worked on punchlist items and as built drawings for his contact.
December 2011
During December, the contractor tested sign structures, worked on restoration of a slip ramp and slope, repaired damaged guide rail, and hydro-milled and placed final striping on the roadway in the 801 project limits. Final inspection of the contract 801 project was held on Dec. 14, 2011. This contract is essentially completed.
November 2011
In November, the contractor worked on noise panel joint sealing at Service Area 8N ramp and tested sign structures. In the coming month, the contractor will remove existing signs, place topsoil and seed at SA 8N, the U-Turns at mileposts 77.0 and 80.0, and south outer roadway service area ramp. He will also perform hydro-milling and final striping of the entire 801 project limits.

This contract was awarded to D’Annunzio & Sons, Inc. on June 14, 2010 and notice to proceed was issued on June 24, 2010. Included in this contact, the contractor will be building a new Interchange 8A Toll to South Inner ramp (TSI), new bridge structures for the State Police U-Turn (SPUT), Cranbury Half Acre Road (CHAR) and Prospect Plains Road (PPR).
The contractor paved Prospect Plains Road stage 2 asphalt on the east and west side of the mainline Turnpike during March. Also at PPR, the contractor continued work on the water main, and began sewer work. At the PPR bridge structure, the contractor worked on the bridge installing deck reinforcement steel in preparation for placement of the concrete decking. During April, the contractor is scheduled to pour the PPR bridge deck.
February 2012
This month, the contractor completed traffic signal installation at Cranbury-Half Acre Road/NJT bridge, and continued working on the outer roadway north and south bound. He also worked on the water main at Prospect Plains Road and electrical installations throughout the 802 project area. During March, the contractor plans on continuing working on the PPR bridge over the NJ Turnpike.

In January, the contactor continued his work on the NJ Turnpike Outer Roadway north and south working on embankment and installation of grade A and DGA fill for the roadbed. The contractor worked on ROW fence installation and traffic signal installation at Cranbury-Half Acre Road/NJT bridge. The asphalt paving and concrete curb was completed at Corporate Drive. In the coming month, the contactor anticipates working on the State Police U-Turn and Prospect Plains Road bridge construction.

This contract was awarded to RCC Fabricators, Inc., on August 13, 2009. The contractor will be fabricating 41 support structures for the variable message and speed limit signs for the entire Interchange 6 to 9 Widening Program.
During this time period, the contractor completed a total of 30 out of 41 structures. Twenty will be delivered to Widening Program storage facilities, and ten more structures are at the contractor awaiting shipping. In the next time period, the contractor will complete delivery of the finished structures and he will continue to fabricate the remaining trusses.

Fabrication of Overhead Support Structures for Static Signs

This contract was awarded to RCC Fabricators, Inc., on September 15, 2009. The contractor will be fabricating 100 sign support structures for static traffic signs for the entire Interchange 6 to 9 Widening Program.
In this time period, the contractor worked on completing fabricating the butterfly structures. All span and cantilever structures are complete, with the remaining 12 butterfly structures shipped to be painted late last year. During the next time period, the contractor is to deliver the finished structures to the NJTA storage yard. Total structures delivered to date is 87 out of 100 structures.

During this time period, the contractor has completed welding two structures and a third is nearly finished. The contractors for the various Widening Program contracts are picking up anchor bolts and templates for the sign structures as needed.
