ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (EIS)
An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) documents the possible impacts a major project like the Interchange 6 to 9 Widening Program will have on various aspects of both the natural and built environments and examines all aspects of the environment including, wetlands, noise, air pollution and impacts to both public land and private property.
The Executive Order 215 (EO-215) EIS prepared for the Interchange 6 to 9 Widening Program has been reviewed and conditionally approved by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) pending receipt of land use regulatory permits.
