6/08/2012: A view looking north from Black’s Creek and Interchange 7 during Widening construction in Contract T869.120.203. Contract 203’s limits are from NJ Turnpike mileposts 53.4 to 55.1. This contract will construct the new outer roadway north and south bound, build or reconstruct ramps for Interchange 7, widen bridges over Black’s Creek (lower center) and Georgetown Road (upper center), and build a new maintance U-Turn bridge and noise walls. 07/05/13: A view of the almost-completed outer roadway lanes at Interchange 7. 8/18/14: A view of the Interchange 7 area looking north showing the completed outer roadway lanes and the closed inner roadway under reconstruction. This equipment will be used to drill shafts for the SIT & TNI ramp pier columns. 5/27/2011: The contractor has cleared around Interchange 7’s ramp area and on the NJ Turnpike and has started work on the outer roadway retention wall on the southbound side. 7/1/11: A retention wall goes up near Interchange 7. 7/1/11: Columns for the piers for the northbound Int. 7 ramp viaduct underway. 9/19/2011: A progress photo of the retention wall and lanes for the southbound outer roadway under construction, and construction on a retention wall (lower left corner) and piers for the northbound outer roadway can be seen in this photograph. 3/7/2012: Six months later, progress on Int. 7’s ramps and outer roadway can be seen. The contractor has erected steel on the piers for the northbound outer roadway structure over the ramp for Interchange 7. 6/8/2012: A close up view of Int. 7 and the NJ Turnpike showing Widening construction and progress on the northbound outer roadway. 9/14/2012: Black’s Creek, Int. 7 and the NJ Turnpike three months later. The outer roadway will open to traffic so that the inner roadway can be closed and reconstructed prior to the Widening Program opening. 8/18/14: The inner roadway is closed throughout the Widening Program to reconstruct the roadway.
